Volatility (Regime) Switch Indicator (VSI) was created by Ron McEwan and published on Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities.
VSI Indicator measures volume per second and the corresponding Moving Average. Using seconds as time setting, allows to have a standard measurement for all chart timeframes. Indicator seems to be more profitable on 15M up to 4H timeframes. It’s mostly used to filter trading signals in a forex strategy.
